Road to Jannah

“Discover Yourself”, the workshop conducted by Sadathullah Khan is a perfect blend of modern management and Islamic principles. The participants experienced a total change from within that would help them lead a happy and a peaceful life!

By Md Ziyaullah Khan:

Nagpur:Change is the most common factor evident in any revolution which came and went in History. As time passes it follows a change in trends, challenges, lifestyles which requires a different way or upgraded ways to handle and deal the same. And the same principles apply in Dawah as well i.e using all dynamic ways to call humanity to Islam. Sadathullah Khan, editor of the Bangalore based publication Islamic Voice has the privilege to set a trend of presenting Islam and its values with the help of modern HR principles and psychology, through a three-day workshop, “Discover Yourself”. The perfect blend of modern management and Islamic principles was discovered in the workshop.

Nagpur, commonly known as “orange city” witnessed historical event when the An Nisa Arabic Centre, Nagpur organised this workshop between the 5-7th December, 2003 at ISI Hall, which is situated in the heart of Nagpur. A large number of Muslim women, young and old from all walks of life turned up to attend the workshop. The three- day workshop changed the participants within. It was a born-again experience as they noticed change in their vision, approach and practice which seemed incredible to them. All thanks to Sadathullah Khan’s innovative ways which helped a lot, where mutual interactions were the epitome of the entire show.

“The entire focus of workshop is on bringing in the transformation from within rather than imparting knowledge” says Sadathullah Khan. “ The approach taken is that the Creator has made every human being innocent and pure. Every human being moves away from this state of purity, which makes them to lead a miserable life. I coach them to revert to their original state and attain peace and happiness in life”. The real life situation is analysed with the help of Prophet Muhammad’s (Pbuh) sayings or Hadith and the participants are guided to bring about the transformation required in their nature or their style of functioning.

During the three day workshop, the focus is on relationships. As Sadathullah Khan believes that healthy relationships are the foundation for peace and tranquility in life.

“Many times baseless issues erupt and make life all hay wire” , Islam emphasis on forgiveness and considers a person at par excellence with attributes like ‘Sabr’. Its ironical to see us lagging behind such traits for which Prophet Muhammed (Pbuh) was known for, hence inculcating such qualities in life leads us to love, peace and harmony.

The participants are made to undergo a paradigm shift through various exercises so that they get motivated to affect required transformation in their life, so that their outlook towards life alters according to the teachings of the Prophet (Pbuh).

“We literally enjoyed each session, infact it was fun learning a lot” feels Farheen one of the delegates of the workshop. “ It was really an exotic experience with Sadath sir which transformed me a lot” adds Shazia Khan putting her views emotionally in the last session. The excitement and zeal among the participants could be fathomed through their radiant faces which had much to say and reveal. It created such waves that they all desired to have the workshop twice or thrice each year as Najma Khan, President, An Nisa Arabic centre says, “ its high time such workshops are organised very often to shape our younger generation with moral values. The workshop concluded with vote of thanks from the president followed by a dua (prayer) from Mrs Zaheeda.

“True believers are only those whose hearts are filled with awe whenever God is mentioned, and whose faith is strengthened whenever His revelations are recited to them. In their Lord do they place their trust.” (Chapter 8: Verse 2)
